i'm gonna make it by any means, i've got a pocketful of dreams

i don't know why i thought of this today, but as i was walking my favorite nyc stretch tonight with ashley, i was reminded of october 11 of last year. that day, all of broadway impact marched in dc for equal rights. on the way back from dc, somewhere in the middle of nowhere and in between sleeps, i said to ashley: our lives are pretty amazing. we had just marched in dc. made history. stood up for a cause... and even though we were super tired, we had every intention of going to the march afterparty. we live in nyc and have so many opportunities. we meet amazing and inspiring people. we get to see theater as often as we want. we see dreams become realities. we form new dreams. we embrace the unknown and welcome changes. we move past harsh realities. we become enchanted with this city each and everyday. how very lucky we all are... where would i be if not here? i'm so lucky to have this moment in my life.
